What is the ECA:

The Eastern Catholic Associates (ECA) is the colloaborative orgainization of Eastern Catholic Churches working together. The ECA's to chief role is to bring together all of the Eastern Catholic Churches to develop effective ways to reach all those who are in need of God’s saving Word. For more information about the ECA please read the Eastern Catholic Bishops Joint Letter on Catechisis.

What is the ECED:

The Eastern Catholic Eparchial Directors of Religious Education (ECED) is the education development and publishing branch of the ECA. It was formed to produce common catechisis and general education materials, such as the three volume adult catechism for the Byzantine Churches entitled Light for Life, for all of the Eastern Catholic Churches.
